Is my company even sellable?
Yes – if it generates sustainable earnings and is not entirely dependent on you personally. We assess this in advance in a free initial meeting and give you an honest opinion.
What is my company worth?
The value is derived from future earnings (capitalised earnings method) and the market price of comparable transactions (multiples). We prepare a well-founded value indication for you – free and without obligation on request. Our company value calculator also gives a first reference point.
How long does the sale process take?
Usually 9 to 15 months – from the first valuation to handing over the keys. Careful preparation speeds up the process and significantly increases the probability of success. Buyers sense time pressure – and use it. We therefore recommend a relaxed, well-prepared marketing process.
How is confidentiality maintained?
We work exclusively with anonymised short profiles. Interested parties only learn your company's name after signing a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Employees, customers and suppliers only hear about the sale process at completion – if you wish.
Who are the potential buyers?
There are three main groups: strategic investors (e.g. competitors or suppliers), MBI candidates (private individuals who want to take over a company) and financial investors (family offices, private equity). Through the con|cess® network we approach all groups in a targeted, discreet way – nationally and internationally.
What happens to my employees?
In a company sale, all existing employment relationships continue unchanged – this is required by Section 613a of the German Civil Code (BGB). The buyer usually has a strong interest in keeping the experienced team, as the employees make up a substantial part of the company's value. We only inform your staff once the purchase agreement and handover are secured.
What costs will I face?
We work mainly on a success-fee basis. Our fee consists of an individually agreed percentage of the purchase price achieved – due only once the purchase price has reached your account. We discuss the exact structure transparently in the initial meeting. No hidden costs, no surprises.
Are there buyers even in economically weaker regions?
Yes – often more than expected. Buyers frequently come from entirely different regions or even abroad, as our case studies show. Through the con|cess® network with 21 offices across the DACH region, we guarantee at least 10 qualified prospective buyers, regardless of industry.
When should I inform my employees?
Only once a buyer has been found and the purchase agreement is signed. Informing them too early risks resignations – which weakens the company and lowers the purchase price. We help you find the right moment and the right message.
